The stick (coduceo) is Hermes Mercury's wond, copable of healing illnesses with medicinal herbs, The snake an animal sacred to Aschepio. Esculopio, the God of health, symbolizes the renovation of life (the snake changes his skin). The rooster symbolizes the rebirth of life because of his song to the dawn. When the rooster crows, the darkness and the bad spirits are chased way, and the beneficial and protective forces of nature are called upon.
